The L&T EduTech team, led by MF Febin, Head of CollegeConnect Business, visited BITS Pilani on Friday, 19 May 2023. This visit marked a significant milestone in the collaboration between these two prestigious institutions, as they joined forces to establish an industry-oriented education ecosystem. To formalise this partnership, an MoU was signed earlier this year, solidifying their commitment to create transformative learning experiences across all BITS campuses.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to equip talented students at BITS with the essential skills and industry readiness required to pave the way for future innovations. Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, Group Vice Chancellor of BITS; Dr Sudhir Kumar V Barai, Director of BITS Pilani; Dr Ajit Pratap Singh, Dean of Academic-Undergraduate Studies Division; Dr Shibani Khanra Jha, Teaching Learning Centre Coordinator and MF Febin engaged in a productive discussion regarding the path forward and upcoming initiatives.
During the discussion, Dr Barai congratulated everyone on the collaboration and shared his vision for the partnership. He emphasised that the alliance with L&T EduTech would act as a catalyst, propelling BITS students towards a brighter future. Prof. V Ramgopal Rao acknowledged the long-standing culture of innovation that both BITS and L&T have nurtured over the years.
MF Febin underscored the significance of core engineering and elucidated how this collaboration would enable students to receive valuable mentorship from L&T experts. She stressed the importance of bridging the gap between industry and academia, as it is imperative for students to transition into experts capable of applying their knowledge effectively in practical scenarios. The MoU aims to shape a future where every student emerges as highly proficient, not only in theoretical concepts but also in the practical application of their skills. Through L&T EduTech’s robust learning management system, students will have the ability to track their progress and receive timely evaluations.
