Dr Taruna Gautam, Vice-Chancellor of IILM University, highlighted the pressing skills gap in fields like Engineering, IT, Commerce, Management, and Science. She underscored the importance of updating curricula to include skill-based learning, joint research projects, and structured internships, making education more industry-relevant.
Dr Balvinder Shukla, Vice-Chancellor of Amity University, emphasized the importance of overcoming regulatory and cultural challenges. She stressed the need for clear communication between academia and industry to co-create effective curricula and prepare students for real-world demands.
The focus group discussions highlighted the importance of continuous industry engagement through internships and regular feedback sessions. Participants stressed faculty development programs to enhance adaptability to technological advancements and ensure students are industry-ready.
Dr Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor of Manav Rachna University, advocated for lifelong learning to be instilled in students. He acknowledged L&T EduTech’s initiatives in skilling and reskilling as vital to equipping students with the tools needed for a technology-driven world.
