L&T EduTech recently conducted an impactful two-week industry internship program for 86 B.Tech and M.Tech Civil Engineering students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai, and Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune. This program set new standards in experiential learning and practical skill development.
Key highlights included visits to prominent project sites such as the tallest pier construction of the CMRL project, a precast yard, the L&T Innovation Campus with its digitally advanced building infrastructure, a biogas facility and technology-enabled operation centres. These visits allowed students to gain a deeper appreciation for the complexities involved in mega projects, from design to commissioning and the integration of technology in solutions.
Students engaged in interactive sessions with practising experts, gaining valuable insights into current trends and future opportunities in the industry. Additionally, participants had the chance to engage in hands-on activities, solving industrial use cases in areas such as GIS, Structural Design, Project Management, Vehicle Load Computation, Concrete Mix Design, Bearing Capacity, Building Load Calculation and Design Thinking. These activities sharpened their technical skills, preparing them to navigate future challenges in their careers.
