The aim of this course is to enable learners to make informed ethical and legal choices in their professional capacity. The course further endeavors to sensitize the learners to the legal and ethical issues that may arise during the course of their employment. This course also provides an adequate exposure to the various laws that are relevant in their day-to-day professional life.
Ethics is integral to understand the basic conduct of humans, both professional and personal. Most professionals often face dilemmas in vital decision making. It is necessary for professionals to abide by certain codes of conduct as well as have a clear understanding of what is right and wrong, legal and illegal, in the professional sphere to ensure a healthy and safe environment. By extension, it is important that professionals are made aware of the laws of the land to understand the legal implications of their conduct. From a public policy perspective, it becomes all the more essential for them to have a basic understanding of laws that affect them, their conduct, and their interaction with government and society.
