Chennai, 14 August 2024 – L&T EduTech hosted its much-anticipated internal brand launch and leadership conclave, “Reimagine 2024,” at the Larsen & Toubro HQ. This event marked a pivotal moment in the company’s transformation, setting the stage for its official brand and solution launch in September.
Over the past three years, L&T EduTech has undergone a strategic reinvention, refining its products, services and solutions to better meet the needs of enterprises and academia. “Reimagine 2024” celebrated the collective efforts of the entire L&T EduTech team. The event brought together L&T EduTech employees and senior leaders from various Integrated Companies (ICs) and Group Companies within L&T. The agenda featured keynote speeches by prominent leaders from the L&T Group and the unveiling of L&T EduTech’s newly enhanced solutions and brand offerings.
Keynotes from the Leaders of L&T Group
Mr R Ganesan delivered a stirring address, highlighting significant milestones in L&T EduTech’s journey. His speech and the launch of the brand video captured the essence of L&T EduTech’s mission to bring out the ‘more’ in individuals, communities and, ultimately, the nation. As L&T EduTech expands globally, he called on L&T leaders to support this mission, expressing confidence in EduTech’s growth toward becoming a Unicorn.
Dr C Jayakumar, Chief Human Resources Officer at Larsen & Toubro, praised the team’s relentless energy in securing business across sectors and building strong connections with corporates and universities. He emphasised the importance of aligning education with industry needs, addressing employability challenges and the transformative potential of NEP 2020. Dr Jayakumar concluded by affirming that L&T EduTech is not just skilling individuals—it’s shaping the future of India.
In her keynote, Ms C Niranjana, Head of Finance & Accounts at Larsen & Toubro, highlighted the pressing need for a highly skilled workforce across all sectors. She emphasised the importance of continuous learning and the transformative role L&T EduTech can play in shaping the future of education and workforce development. She left the audience with an inspiring quote: “Technology will not replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers can be hugely transformational.” This, she noted, is the essence of what L&T EduTech is all about.
The event’s Chief Guest, Mr SV Desai, Whole-time Director and Senior Executive Vice President at Larsen & Toubro, applauded L&T EduTech’s rapid growth and innovation since its inception in October 2021. He reflected on the strategic decision to launch L&T EduTech, calling it a “phenomenal move” aligned with L&T’s legacy of excellence. Mr Desai expressed his belief that L&T EduTech is poised to become a cornerstone of L&T’s commitment to education and professional development.
Release of Thought Leadership Book and Official Magazine
In alignment with L&T EduTech’s commitment to shaping the future of education, the company announced the release of its Thought Leadership Book on “Accelerating NEP 2020: Industry-Academia Partnerships for Rapid Implementation.” This publication offers insights from influential minds in academia and industry, standing as a testament to L&T EduTech’s dedication to advancing the goals of NEP 2020.
During the Reimagine 2024 event, Mr Desai also unveiled the company’s new quarterly magazine, “EduTech Connect.” This launch reinforces L&T EduTech’s position as a leader in the evolving landscape of education and training, committed to driving excellence through continuous learning and skill enhancement.
L&T EduTech 2.1
The L&T EduTech leadership team—Mr Sanjai Ranganathan, Chief Executive; Ms MF Febin, Head of College Connect; Mr S Sreechand, Head of Enterprise Solutions; and Dr B Anbuthambi, Head of Strategy and Partnerships—highlighted the organisation’s incredible journey and growth, setting the stage for an exciting future.
The concept of “L&T EduTech 2.1” was introduced, signalling a new phase of growth and innovation. This phase focuses on two key areas: “CollegeConnect,” which provides students with industry exposure while still in college, and “Workonnect,” which bridges the gap between education and employment, ensuring professionals remain relevant in their careers.
During the event, Mr R Ganesan launched the new brand video. The video emphasised the latent potential within every individual—a performer waiting to be discovered, a leader ready to be unleashed and a community poised for transformation. It highlighted L&T EduTech’s commitment to nurturing human capital through education, bridging the industry-academia gap and providing students with job-ready skills from day one. It also underscored how L&T EduTech leverages the extensive experience of the L&T group to empower the next generation of students and faculty.
The hashtag campaign and event theme, #BringOutTheMoreInThem, encapsulated this mission. Additionally, the introduction of the mascot, “Champ,” symbolised L&T EduTech’s dedication to championing educational and transformational causes. Champ embodies the company’s mission to bring out the best in individuals and support their journey toward greater productivity and success.
