On 6 April 2023, L&T EduTech and Anna University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide skill-based experiential learning courses to students in university departments and constituent colleges along with all affiliated engineering colleges under Anna University. These courses will equip students with essential skills and help them tackle real-world problems, enabling them to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving industry.

Apart from students, faculty members will also benefit from specially curated immersion programmes for industry exposure and upskilling. Anna University and L&T EduTech will collaborate to offer global online certification industry-led programmes, both within and outside India.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr R Velraj, Registrar i/c Dr G Ravi Kumar, deans of campuses, Additional Director P&D Dr T Sivakumar and Director of Blended Learning & Human Empowerment. L&T EduTech was represented by Ganesan R, Head Corporate Center; Febin MF, Head of CollegeConnect Business; Dr Deependra Kumar Jha, Chief Academic Officer and various department heads.

This partnership between Anna University and L&T EduTech is a significant development that will provide students with practical skills and prepare them for the challenges faced by the modern workforce. By leveraging L&T EduTech’s courses, which is powered by L&T’s decades-long experience in nation-building, Anna University can offer students industry-relevant training and certification programmes, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market. Furthermore, the faculty immersion programmes will ensure that the teaching staff are up to date with the latest industry practices and trends and can deliver the best possible education to students. The global availability of these certification programmes will benefit students worldwide.
