L&T EduTech signed an agreement with Muthoot Institute of Technology & Science (MITS), Kochi for upskilling their students in various engineering streams. MITS is promoted by Muthoot M George Institute of Technology, a Section 25 Company within the Muthoot Group. A self-financing technical institution offering postgraduate and undergraduate engineering programmes, MITS is situated in the industrial suburb of Kochi, close to the Smart City and Info Park. With this association, MITS becomes the second college in Kerala to partner with L&T EduTech.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr Neelakantan PC (Principal, MITS), P George Varghese (Executive Director, MITS), Dr Chikku Abraham (Vice Principal, MITS) and Heads of Departments of various disciplines along with R Balasubramaniam (Head SME Civil Engineering, L&T EduTech), Abhay Sankar (Lead,Business Development/Public Relations, L&T EduTech) and R Jayakumar (Manager, Administration, DMN, L&T). The event was followed by a discussion between the two organisations on how to widen the scope of opportunities for engineering students and graduates in Kerala.

L&T EduTech, the edtech arm of Larsen & Toubro, empowers learners through a combination of conceptual and practical learning. It enables globally employable, industry-ready talent through application-oriented learning, skilling, assessment and certification programmes.  It has been developing industry-specific academic programmes for the engineering sector, with the goal to share the rich knowledge and experience that L&T has collected over decades. The programmes ensure that students get hands-on exposure to core engineering concepts and their applications.
