In an effort to consistently expand and deepen the understanding of the emerging sectors and the required skills, L&T EduTech hosted an enlightening roundtable with experts in electric vehicles (EV) along with academic leaders at Chennai on 15 March, 2023. The eminent members of the roundtable discussed the entire EV ecosystem and deliberated on the areas of skilling that should be taken up by industry and academia.
Dr Anand Gurupatham, Head – Powertrain CAE, Renault Nissan, delivered the opening presentation on the EV Ecosystem, which was followed by input from industry experts with rich experience in EVs, automotives, battery charging and power trains. Academic leaders from Chennai’s premier engineering institutions including SRM Institute of Science and Technology, BS Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Vels University, Sairam Group of Institutions, Velammal Group of Institutions, St Joseph’s Group of Institutions, Sri Venkateshwara College and various other affiliated institutions of Anna University took an active part in the discussion.
Dr Deependra Jha, Chief Academic Officer, L&T EduTech, delivered his opening remarks from an academic standpoint based on his background of serving as vice-chancellor of leading universities. Sabyasachi Das, CEO, L&T EduTech, MF Febin, Head of CollegeConnect, L&T EduTech and Dr Anbuthambi B, Head of Strategy, L&T EduTech, were also a part of the deliberation.
The roundtable explored and identified various opportunities and action plans for both industry and academia to collaborate on which would lead towards meeting the demand of the future EV industry.
