The course aims to impart knowledge on various aspects of power distribution like equipment installation, line survey, electrical safety, testing and commissioning. Also, to provide exposure to learners to the industrial practices, recommendations of Indian standards, electrical equipment offered by the leading manufacturers and the uses of the equipment in real-life cases.
The course on ‘Electric power distribution engineering and automation’ is a practical-oriented course blended with conceptual knowledge covering the latest technological trends like SCADA and automation developed using L&T’s expertise in the field. The course also includes various aspects of power distribution, indoor and outdoor equipment up to 33kV. The course adopts a cross-disciplinary approach to ensure that the learners understand site execution, testing and commissioning. Throughout the course, safety aspects have been emphasised in every area of work.
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to understand power distribution in a holistic manner.
