This contest is designed to push the boundaries of creativity, technology, and sustainability, giving you a platform to showcase your skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and bring futuristic designs to life.
"Building the Future with BIM," challenges you to create innovative solutions in five distinct categories, where sustainability, smart design, and resilience will play a central role in shaping the next generation of infrastructure. Whether you are designing high-rise commercial buildings, community-centered spaces, or cutting-edge industrial plants, the goal is to leverage BIM to create sustainable, efficient, and forward-thinking project
High-rise office building with mixed-use retail spaces.
Community healthcare center or public library
Manufacturing plant with heavy machinery and conveyor systems
Urban transit station (subway or bus terminal).
Multi-purpose sports arena or community sports complex

Challenge yourself to create forward-thinking solutions using Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Participants need to submit an abstract idea of maximum 300 words in a pdf.
Participants can submit their idea for any one of the five categories
Last date for submission is 17/10/2025 (Friday).
Top 10 teams from each category will be selected from this round.
Shortlisted participants will be notified by mail.
Result of First Round : 18/10/2025
Shortlisted participants have to present their idea virtually.
Number of slides is limited to 10 (Excluding introductory slide).
Allotted time for presentation is 10 minutes.
Last date to submit your presentation is 30/10/2025 (Thursday).
Online Presentation will happen 1/11/2025 (Saturday).
Selected participants will get a chance to present their model at L&T Chennai campus. Top 3 teams from each category will be selected for this round
All the detail about offline travel will be communicated through mail.
The last day to submit your presentation for this round is 13/11/2025 (Thursday).
Round 3 will happen on 14/11/2025 (Friday).

The participants have to form a team with maximum of 4.
One person cannot be a member of more than a team.
One team can participate in only one category.
Students can have their Faculty as a mentor for the team. Mentors may participate in the contest along with their teams.
Inter- discipline and diverse teams are allowed and appreciated.

The font style and minimum size to be used is Gotham Book and 12 respectively.
An annexure providing due credits to the references (Annexure will not be counted with words/slide numbers) has to be enclosed with the abstract/PPT.
Any other supporting documents has to be attached to the annexures.
Please make your submissions well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute hassles.
Reports submitted will go for a plagiarism and IP check. Students to enhance their own creativity and cannot copy from external source.
Every member from each team should be involved and given a fair chance.
