An electrician installs, maintains, and repairs wiring systems and assembles equipment and accessories cautiously processing the details provided in drawings and specifications to meet the required safety standards as defined in the regulations for the electrical equipment of buildings.

You will have to undergo hands-on practical exposure at a training provider through the State Skill Development Mission or L&T training partners.
What you will learn
- Applying the practice of electrical industry regulations for the electrical equipment of buildings
- Practical application and significance of Ohm’s Law and relevant circuits such as intermediate, 3 heat series/ parallel, together with connections to various meters and instruments
- Terminating cables into equipment and machines
- Installing suitable overload and short circuit devices for given circuits
- Operating in different conditions
- Installing P.V.C. and steel conduit runs
- Installing wiring systems to ensure effective earth continuity and earth leakage protection
- Carrying out simple fault-finding on basic electric installations
- Elaborations on a safe environment, health, and safe working places while handling electricity
