Specialization Overview

The Advanced specialisation program on EV Technology for Electrical Engineers aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of electric vehicles, their components, and related technologies. The program covers a wide range of topics, including EV and Hybrid Vehicle fundamentals, battery technology, power electronics, embedded systems, charging infrastructure, vehicle testing, homologation, and data analytics. The program focuses on areas like Battery management systems, powertrain development techniques, Embedded system development, and EV architecture modelling. Upon completion of this Specialisation course students will acquire skills required for designing, simulating and development of electric vehicles.

Specialization Stack Objectives

Provide a comprehensive understanding of the principles, technologies, and tools used in the design, development, and analysis of electric vehicles.


Develop skills in vehicle design and analysis, including the use of MATLAB for modeling and simulation


Develop the necessary skills and knowledge to design and develop battery management systems, battery packs, and advanced powertrains for electric vehicles.


Develop skills in PCB design and data analytics, including the use of Altium and data analytics tools for electrical systems.


Provide a thorough understanding of power electronics and embedded systems, and their role in the design and operation of electric vehicles and electrical systems

Foster an understanding of the environmental and sustainability implications of electric vehicles, and encourage the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the future of transportation
